Alex reduces the mule to a few strong lines. A high-cut upper wraps the foot and runs into a softened square toe, creating a clean, uninterrupted shape from the front.
The open back cuts through that formality, while the medium-height block heel gives the shoe weight and a slightly sculptural stance. Seen from the side, the contrast is the point: substantial at the heel, pared back everywhere else.
